Our Impact
Our committee is here to serve McKenzie County non-profits by GRANTING endowment earnings annually. In 2025, we had $202,800 in grant requests on projects totaling over 1.1 million. We were able to grant $73,800! While we are proud of what was granted last year, we aim to become a larger resource for area non-profits and make a difference in the lives of those who live in McKenzie County. Our goal is to grow the Foundation’s Endowment to $2,500,000+, which would create a Transformational Level of granting at $100,000 per year. By working together as a community and creating partnerships with individual donors and local businesses, we can make this goal a reality! We invite you to join in our mission. Grant Funding
The grants we provide come from the following funds:
McKenzie County Community Foundation ENDOWMENT: Our primary fund; qualifies for 40% ND State Tax Credit. (click here for requirements & to donate now) Roughly 4% of funds are put to work in the community annually as "grants".
McKenzie County Community Foundation PROJECT NON- ENDOWMENT: Provides immediate granting. Qualifies as a charitable gift if no benefit is given in return, but NOT for 40% ND income tax credit.
Donations are welcomed and help us grow our impact within the community.
